Chocolate Peppermint Cappuccino

Chocolate Peppermint Cappuccino! It’s never too early to be in the holiday mood, right? At least I think chocolate, peppermint and coffee can always be together anytime! This recipe is very simple and you don’t need to waste money to get any peppermint extract. All you need is your favorite peppermint chocolate bar, espresso powder and your choice of milk to make this lovely holiday drink.

Super excited to make this holiday drink using this NEW Mr. Coffee® OneTouch Coffeehouse+ Espresso Maker! It’s so much fun being a barista at home. This machine allows me to brew, froth and create single or double shots of espresso, lattes, cappuccinos at one touch of a button. How convenient is that!

Ingredients:

1 ½  scoops of ground espresso powder

Water

1 cup whole Milk

20g chocolate peppermint bar

Steps:

  1. Fill water to the water reservoir and milk to the milk reservoir.

  2. Using a double shot porta-filter, fill it with ground espresso coffee. Using the tamper, tamp the coffee grounds down so that it’s compact and even.

  3. Place the porta-filter underneath the brew head and make sure to lock it in place.

  4. In a glass, add in 20g of peppermint chocolate bar. Place the glass on the drip tray.

  5. Position milk frother outlet close to the glass. Adjust the level of frothed milk to your likeness. Tap twice on the cappuccino icon.

  6. Let it brew and there you have it! A fresh cup of chocolate peppermint cappuccino! Pair it with some homemade shortbread cookies would be even better.
