Mocha Frappuccino

Homemade Mocha Frappe to start off the day! Even better when you make your own chocolate sauce to go with it. I am really excited to partner with Mr. Coffee® in 2022 to share different ways to enjoy coffee freshly made from home. Stay tuned for more!

First up, we have Mr Coffee’s Single-Serve Frappe™, Iced, and Hot Coffee Maker and Blender, which is a 3-in-1 coffee maker that you can make frappe and hot coffee at the same time. Even better, you don’t need additional equipment to make frappes separately. They recently added a few new and fun colorways and of course I opted for my favorite color - the Lavender version.

Ingredients:

2 large scoops of ground coffee, using Mr Coffee’s measuring scoop

Whole Milk

Ice

3 tbsp homemade chocolate sauce*

*Homemade chocolate sauce

½ cup water

½ cup Dutched processed cocoa powder

¼ cup granulated sugar

Steps:

To make the chocolate sauce:

  1. In a saucepan, add in ½ cup water, ½ cup dutched processed cocoa powder, ¼ cup sugar and mix well.

  2. Place the saucepan over the stove top and bring the mixture to a simmer for about  5- 8 minutes, making sure the sugar is completely dissolved.

  3. Remove from heat and let it cool. The sauce will gradually thicken as it cools down.

To make the mocha frappuccino:

  1. Add 2 large scoops of ground coffee to the brew basket and fill water to the water line.

  2. Add whole milk to the milk line of the blender. Add ice to the ice line of the blender.

  3. Brew the coffee and add it into the blender.

  4. Add in 3 tbsp of chocolate sauce and blend it for about 1-2 mins. Add in chocolate whipped cream by mixing whipped cream with a tsp of chocolate sauce. Now it's time to enjoy!
