Sea Salt Cold Foam Iced Coffee

Sea Salt Cold Foam Iced Coffee! You may think “wait, sea salt in coffee?!”, but I can tell you a bit of salt really brings out the flavor even more, just like how we add sea salt on to our cookies right? Perfect drink to enjoy during the summer season.

I made this using Mr Coffee ‘s Single-Serve Frappe™, Iced, and Hot Coffee Maker and Blender to brew the coffee which is super convenient and what more with my favorite lavender color!

Ingredients:

2 large scoops of ground coffee, using Mr Coffee’s measuring scoop

¼ cup whipping cream

⅛ cup whole milk

Roughly 1 ½ cup ice

¼ tsp sea salt

¾ tbsp sugar

Steps:

  1. Add 2 large scoops of ground coffee to the brew basket and fill water to the 12 oz water line. Brew the coffee, add ¾ tbsp sugar for sweetness, mix and set aside to cool.

  2. In a separate pitcher, add in ¼ cup of whipping cream, ⅛ cup of whole milk and ¼ tsp sea salt. Using a handheld milk frother or whisk, whisk the cream mixture until foamy.

  3. In a tall glass, add in ice cubes, pour in the coffee and top it with the cold foam. Optional - sprinkle a bit more sea salt if you like.

* Quick tip: Here’s how I like to enjoy this drink - using a straw and start sipping from the top and gradually push the straw down so that you get the cold foam first then coffee. Cheers and enjoy!
